The weekend is brushing up on its dad jokes.
This is part of a collection of vacuum-sealed, double-walled, stainless steel travel bottles designed to keep things like beer (or wine) fresh and frosty while you move about your weekend. This is also the new object of your affection.
Daniel Boulud’s Mediterranean restaurant in NYC, Boulud Sud, will be taking residence at DB Bistro Moderne this summer. You’ve got 45 days to take advantage of all that lamb flatbread and Lebanese-spiced sea bass. And on Mondays and Tuesdays, that’ll include half-off bottles of rosé. Way to step up, those two days.
On Friday night, you’ll find your typical sushi lounge situation at the St. Regis: cigar rollers, sushi stations, DJs. But you’ll also find yourself picking up handsome gear from the likes of Ferragamo, Shinola and Tateossian at the pop-up that’ll be there. The Father’s Day thing is completely coincidental.
A new Sushi Maki just opened in the old Momi Gyoza space. And this one’s doing the fast-casual thing, which is the thing where you place your order for sushi burritos and snow ice at a counter instead of at a table. It’s just how things are now.
There’s a bottomless beer barbecue brunch at Beachcraft. Now that we’ve scratched that deep-seated alliteration itch, know that it’ll include dishes from the Miami Smokers guys and Alex Chang from Vagabond. Plus, take home “dad bags” with beer glasses and barbecue rubs. There’s another alliteration opportunity in there somewhere.
