Two Georgia lawyers with a strong eye for solid neckwear did that thing where they commissioned European mills to custom-make fabrics and then got some New York tailors to craft those fabrics into exquisite bow ties. Why don’t you get a few to wear this spring.
Iggy Pop and Josh Homme are having a party tonight. No need for alarm, it’s just a civilized little art show showcasing 24 photographs and 8 mm film footage behind the making of their new album with the whole band in attendance. Still, anything could happen. Iggy being Iggy and all.
The live jazz party known as Jazzilla will hold its last event at Spare Room tonight. Come see Toro y Moi’s Jordan Blackmon spin an all-vinyl set with Dublab’s founder on percussion, followed by twin jazz duo Mattson 2. And wear funny bowling shoes. Super important.
Downtown’s got a new wood-and-marble-covered power spot to get you through lunch. It’s called Miro, like the Spanish painter. And it serves rare whiskey alongside things like beef cheek pasta and lamb sausage pizza. Its whiskey-and-pasta period really speaks to today.

charming new Australian spot with breakfast burritos, burgers and flat whites.

friends at Kogi Taqueria for Kogi favorites, plus asada and carnitas tacos.
Saturday, 2pm: Beach naps.
Bacon. That’s the theme of this festival in Downtown on Sunday. Bacon. So you’ll find lots of that in both sweet and savory forms. Plus the chance to experience new concepts like Miro and Baldoria. But mostly, it’s just bacon. Lots of bacon.
