Anyway, time to hunker down inside with good company and ride it all out.
Ideally with a bunch of fried chicken.
Meet Golden Fig, a rustic charmer of a spot from the OTC crew for buttermilk fried chicken and foie gras parfaits, opening tonight in Brickell. (And here’s your slideshow.)
Feels like just yesterday that you were enjoying a beer on OTC’s patio. Okay, so it was more like a month ago. Time and beer are funny that way.
Now they’re ready to open their doors to you again. But not before they looked around and decided to add a wooden bar, some hanging terrariums and a floor-to-ceiling grass wall to the place.
What they also added: a really great chef with the Bazaar and Café Boulud on his résumé. And he’s making sure you’ll get the requisite amounts of fried chicken, foie gras parfaits, housemade lardo and duck prosciutto.
Finally, what you’ve also got here is a lush covered patio surrounded by wooden planters growing herbs, flowers and shrubs. Not a bad spot to bring a date and do the wine-and-charcuterie thing.
