Step into The Eberhard, a sprawling and quite attractive new hangout on Henderson where beverage-induced good times will surely take place. It’s soft-open now through Friday before officially opening on Monday. (See the slideshow.)
Here are some things you might like to know.
It’s not small. Inside you’ve got a bunch of comfortable leather couches with a nice living room vibe, plus a 65-foot bar that’s housing just so many backlit bottles.
Have a drink. Some food, too. Try the Henderson Cooler with gin and green Chartreuse or opt for one of a few dozen beers. Then you should really eat something. The brisket tacos or Reuben sliders could be that something. (Here’s a peek at the opening menu.)
There’s a DJ booth. You can find that up the spiral staircase. But just take our word for it.
Brunch is coming. For now, it’s dinner and drinks only. But down the road they’ll start doing brunch. Everyone likes brunch.
There’s a loft space in back. You should rent that out sometime. It’s like the study you’ve always wanted, with shelves full of books, a glowing brick fireplace and someone to serve you drinks.
