Dear Mr. President,
Great job on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Nice choice on the suit. Even better choice on the pizza. The one we’re eating right now. Oh, and more Luther next year.
Thanks,

Meet Pi Pizzeria, the St. Louis–based maker of deep-dish pies, the likes of which a certain president proclaims as the best he’s had, now open in South Beach. (See the slideshow here.)
Yep, Obama’s a fan. He’s even invited these guys over to the White House to make a few pies. Of the deep-dish variety. With cornmeal-infused dough that demands the attention of both hands.
The inside’s nice—nothing fancy. White brick walls with skateboards on them and a bar with magnet letters that you can rearrange to spell out brilliant epithets on the nature of the world... or vegan cheese.
And it’s the kind of place you’ll tumble into for a lunch/post-Friday-night fuel-up that requires generous quantities of carbs. Like The Cubano—with pulled pork, yellow mustard, ham and dill pickles. But start with the fried ravioli and one of the 18 brews on draft. Although the Soul Survivor with chili-infused tequila isn’t a bad way to go.
Famous last words.
