The Funky Munch

How Your Lunch Changed Forever

None Imagine if Seamless were about, oh, 10 trillion times better than it is.

And now your expectations are properly set for this.

It’s called Munchery, and it’s a food delivery service where some of the planet’s better chefs make stuff for you directly. It just launched here online and via app.

These guys launched in SF almost four years ago, took a covered wagon, broke an axle or two, lost some folks to cholera and finally made it here (most of that’s untrue).

So now people who came from the likes of Nobu, Daniel, Jean-Georges, Telepan, Blue Ribbon Sushi and Bouley are just twiddling their thumbs until you order something like a large plate of nigiri or braised chicken thigh with olives.

Since these guys are capable of some heroic acts of food inventing, the menus change each day. So you check out what’s up there on any given day, you get it, it comes. (You can also set a regularly scheduled delivery.) If it needs any kind of heating, it’ll be prepared to make that as easy as possible, and there you go.

Hiring a waiter might not be unreasonable.
