In life-changing—well, slightly altering—seafood news, the TJ’s guys have just moved into some new digs at Preston and Royal. The fish market’s all set up for the plundering (crab legs, fresh trout, lobster), and the sit-down bar/restaurant will open soon. Until then, try an overturned bucket.
Longtime restaurateur Monica Greene is back. She’s just a little farther west this time, at a casual new Mexican joint called Pegaso. She’s handling the food (chicken tinga enchiladas, beef picadillo tacos), and you... well, you’re handling the food, too. But in a more literal sense.
Our advice: go to Twilite on Friday. Because Chris Penn, that bearded fellow behind Good Records, is taking a turn as house DJ. He’ll spin some of his favorite records while you just hang out, relax and sip frozen Irish coffees. Seems like you’re getting the better end of this deal, frankly.

This is called SausageFest. Which... yeah, we know. But hey, it’s six hours of grilled brats from a bunch of local vendors, plus cold beers and live music in this sunny Downtown park. Surely that’s worth a couple bad jokes.
