It’s been spring for a full week now. We hope you’ve enjoyed it. We hope you haven’t been running around like a crazy person, tugging at strangers’ pant legs and asking them where the new patios are. Because all you had to do was wait for this. We’re telling you now.

The scene: A second-floor bar flanked by garage doors leading out to two separate terraces. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure where every choice leads to sun and gin.
The provisions: Hector Santiago’s pork belly buns and cocktails with Pixy Stix in them. No word on Fun Dip–flavored beer just yet.

The scene: A handful of two-tops on a little patio that opened right before it got freezing. So it’s practically brand-new. In fact, they’re planning a tiki-themed patio launch party on April 13.
The provisions: Pimento cheese fritters. A glass full of rum. Other things you don’t dislike.

FOR POST-WORK CAJOLERY

The scene: There are two patios, but head upstairs to the industrial-looking side one overlooking some soccer fields. Laugh when people fall.
The provisions: Cocktails like the My Heart Will Go On with scotch and kiwi shrub. Which is not what you were expecting that to be.

FOR ROOFTOP BURGERS

Flip Burger Poncey-Highland

The scene: It’s a rooftop bar in Poncey-Highland with flat-screens and couches and sconces and burgers.
The provisions: Start with a Nutella-and-burnt-marshmallow milkshake with Kahlúa. Eat a chorizo burger. End with a Nutella-and-burnt-marshmallow milkshake with Kahlúa.

FOR OFF-THE-RADAR POST-DATING

Vine & Tap

The scene: A private patio that’s strung with lights and sandwiched between a wine bar and a long residential stretch of Lenox Road. Residential stretches of Lenox Road are for lovers.
The provisions: Liters of Australian whites from a tap. And pork schnitzel and herbed spätzle. Try ordering that 10 times fast.
