Get Your Mexican Smoothies Here

You’ve probably tried a Mexican baked good from La Calavera Bakery at a farmers’ market before. You probably enjoyed it. So you’ll probably also enjoy their new brick-and-mortar spot in Decatur. Grab a pig-shaped cookie and an icy, fruity Mexican beverage called a licuado. It’s Mexican.

A Kind of Fancy New Farmers’ Market
IN FARM’S WAY

A Kind of Fancy New Farmers’ Market

Spring is coming. Really, it is. And with it: a brand-new farmers’ market at the Carter Center. Show up. Look for vendors like Cakes & Ale and Star Provisions. Do farmers’ market things like sniff food and look up at the sky. We’ll also accept “smile at dogs.”

A Talking Heads Concert. Pretty Much.
LOOK WHO’S TALKING

A Talking Heads Concert. Pretty Much.

This weekend at the Goat Farm, the ATL Collective will be performing a 1983 Talking Heads album in its entirety. Go. Listen. Dance. Grab some album-themed food from the Good Food Truck, like Burning Down the House Thai red curry. They named it that because it’s hot.

Your Fat Tuesday Preparation Brunch
JAZZ YOU WERE

Your Fat Tuesday Preparation Brunch

Starting Sunday, Watershed’s regular brunch is morphing into a Creole-inspired one. This means there’ll be a local jazz band that’s been together since 1966. This means there’ll be eggs Sardou and seafood mélange. This means they maybe just invented Fat Sunday.

Oscars Bingo. Repeat: Oscars Bingo.
LOEWS AND BEHOLD

Oscars Bingo. Repeat: Oscars Bingo.

If you’re planning on watching the Oscars (and can somehow bring yourself to walk down an actual red carpet), head to the Loews bar. They’re bringing in extra TVs and playing Oscars bingo (it’s... Oscar-themed bingo). Winner gets two nights at Loews Hollywood. They really stuck the theme landing here.
