It’s officially fall. Let the hayrides, apple picking and fall-color tours begin.
Oh, and the sushi. Let fall sushi begin, too.
For that, try Runa, the first new sushi den and patio of the season, opening Wednesday.
So, okay, maybe you’re not exactly hurting for more sushi spots. But we think this one has the potential to come in rather handy.
For starters, it’ll be pretty useful for a quick dinner on a weekday night. The setup is fairly simple: exposed bricks. Charcoal grays. Tables. Chairs. (We assume you’re familiar.) And it’s BYOB, so bring that bottle of sake you’ve been saving for just the right flaming tuna roll.
The best seats: at the stainless-steel sushi bar, where you’ll navigate a menu of nearly 50 maki rolls and round things out with yakitori, noodles and bento boxes. For brunch, there’s a small selection of dim sum. You’ll be presented with your own bamboo steamer containing doughy pork-stuffed buns. (Sorry to ruin the surprise.)
While the weather is still great, however, you’ll take advantage of the back patio. It’s nothing crazy, just some lounge chairs, Asian rice paper screens and fresh air.
Sort of like a fall-color tour with more dragon rolls.
