Sherry and Ham is:
A) A legendary Catskills singing duo.
B) A ventriloquist act.
C) The theme behind the latest bar from husband-and-wife cocktail masters Derek Brown (Columbia Room) and Chantal Tseng.

The room: basically one big bar, all black and white and steel. Grab a stool and let the punk-rock playlist wash over you, or retreat to a quieter table in the front window.
You can get a gin and tonic on draft, a DC Brau, maybe a sherry cocktail. But order one of their 50-plus sherries straight up and they’ll throw in snacks like olives, chocolate or peanuts. Or better yet, upgrade to pickled eggs, manchego or one of the hams hanging behind the bar. They’ll have at least three from Spain and America, plus some duck prosciutto.
If that all seems a bit overwhelming, fear not: they’ll be leading gratis sherry and ham classes in the back room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 5pm.
