Shopping with Vodka in Hand

Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out... and Billy Reid is ready. To celebrate the festivities, they’ll be pouring vodka and basil cocktails, passing around bites from JCT. Kitchen (they love those guys) and hosting a live indie band. You do your best shopping with musical accompaniment.

FNO Option Two: Bring Company
CASHMERE THROW

FNO Option Two: Bring Company

So, Billy Reid. That’s your plan if you’re going stag. Otherwise, there’s this. A Bella Cucina–catered event at 310 Rosemont. Cocktails: they’ve got them (of the blueberry-pomegranate martini variety). Clothing: they’ve got that, too (of the women’s cashmere variety). Be careful not to spill.

A Local-Chef Gathering at King Plow

A Local-Chef Gathering at King Plow

Local chefs. When they make you dinner, you like it. And tonight, 14 of them will be sharing a Westside kitchen space for the sole purpose of getting you full (well, that and raising money for charity). Expect to sample things like meatball sandwiches from Joe Truex and margherita pizzas from Antico. You’re always happy to eat for a good cause.

Sunday
STG, Now Experimenting with Brunch
BREAKING BREAD

STG, Now Experimenting with Brunch

Wood-fired pizza ovens. They’re good for... making pizza. Also, brunch. Case in point: starting Sunday, STG Trattoria is going to be baking up midday meals inside their authentic Acunto ovens. Get yourself some Sautéed Zucchini Bread (with candied pancetta and mascarpone) and a few fresh mimosas. Which, thankfully, are made behind the bar.

Sundays, 10am, STG Trattoria, 102 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, 404-844-2879

Tuesday
A Two-Hour Gratis Wine Tasting
GLASS HALF FULL

A Two-Hour Gratis Wine Tasting

Here’s the thing about wine. It tends to taste better when it’s paired with cheese. Or when it’s flowing free of charge. So next week, plan to make a trip to Parish Market. There’ll be a Sonoma winemaker there. And he’ll be pouring a bunch of California wines, on the house. Come prepared/with brie.
