A Sexy New Sushi Joint Above Rush Street

The Viagra Triangle.

Strange place. Strange, marvelous place. Strange, marvelous, steak-, martini- and cougar-filled place.

Though it could probably use some more sushi.

Oh, look: Jellyfish is slated to open September 4, and they should have plenty of everything you could possibly demand in the Gold Coast... or anywhere else.

Located above Ted Baker London, this second-floor spot is a slinky, minimalist den with whitewashed wood floors, ocean-colored walls and a sinuous blue line on the ceiling leading you to the bar... not that you needed the help.

Once properly lubricated with a Mad Dragon (just your usual cocktail of beer, sriracha, barbecue bitters and scotch), you’ll have choices to make.

Option 1: take the table near the atrium, with views of Rush Street’s neon signs and crowded streets. Here, you’ll get down to business with rolls like Kiss of Fire (spicy tuna, jalapeño, wasabi) and succulent aji nigiri. That’s a very strong option...

... But you’re in this neighborhood. You’re hungry for meat. So option 2: go the steak route. Chef Harold Jurado (Sunda, Japonais) will whip you up some Wagyu rib eye with uni-sriracha hollandaise. If the table wants a little surf with their turf, order a king-crab-and-avocado appetizer called the King of Rush St.

So yes, they were expecting you.
