We’ll keep this very simple.
You’re about to board a luxury coach filled with beer and wine.
Which will escort you to a million-dollar houseboat. Also filled with beer and wine.
You have four hours.
We suggest you use them wisely...
Welcome to the Goin’ Coastal Sunset Cruise, a full evening of cocktailing on Lake Lanier in the most flagrantly un-Lanier-like vessel imaginable, taking reservations now for the inaugural voyage on April 14.
This is just like that night you spent anchored off the shores of Lake Como cracking lobster claws with the staff of the Italian maritime administration and a silent-movie starlet named Cipriana. Only, you know, on Lake Lanier.
Your evening begins Downtown, where you and about 80 other party-boating enthusiasts will load up the buses (the kind with leather seats, flat-screens and manservants walking around with beer and wine) and head north to the Lazy Days Marina.
And there it is: 110 feet of floating excess complete with five bedrooms, three outdoor decks and a handful of fully stocked, fully tended bars. It’s all yours for four straight hours.
Not to mention the guys from Goin’ Coastal—yes, that little seafood spot in Virginia Highland is behind this thing—will also be rolling out a low country boil with wild-caught Texas shrimp, andouille sausage and potatoes.
Now you’re on a boat.
