...
Actually, let’s talk about the biggest rooftop bar in Uptown.
Meet The Den Bar & Grill, a three-story nightspot with the biggest rooftop patio in Uptown, opening this Friday in the old Liar’s Den.
Your mission here begins with a simple choice. Go into the elevator on your left at the front door, or stay on the ground level.
Should you choose ground level—and for the little shootout coming up on Saturday, you may want to do just that—you’ll find all the pigskin-watching essentials: 16 flat-screens, 14 beers (including White Rascal and Shiner) on draft. You’ll want to grab a circular brown booth, then build your own burger (toss on jalapeños) as you take in Bevo on one of the two 100-inch projection screens.
On occasions where celebration (and/or forgetting) is in order—say, immediately after the shootout—you’ll want to step inside that elevator, and stop on two at Rumor Lounge. It’s a perfectly serviceable club—black walls, a DJ booth and one giant disco ball.
But your best play is floor three—a roof deck with four oak cabanas and (hopefully by Friday) one long bar, also made with oak. Consider reserving a bungalow so you can hide from the masses on McKinney Avenue with a personal cocktail waitress and sprawling views of downtown.
Which happen to be your favorite kind of views.
