Abattoir is throwing itself a birthday party tonight. It’s two. Anyway, you may want to consider heading that way right around dusk. Partly because of the Carolina-style oyster roast, the pork and beef sausages, and the beer and live music out on the patio. But mostly because it’s all on the house.
It’s not cold. And seeing as that’s the case, now might be a good time for some snow cone consumption... the kind that’s preloaded with hooch. Hit the veranda at the Ritz Downtown and summon a trifecta of brand-new ice like watermelon/tequila, passion fruit/bourbon and blackberry/moonshine. Nothing refreshes like moonshine.
In the game of cougar, there are no winners and no losers—only those who don’t go to cougar-themed masquerade parties. Yes, tomorrow night, pack after pack of... women of a certain age will congregate upon Beluga’s dance floor for a party in their honor. At least that’s what they think.
It’s almost the weekend, which means there’s festing to be done. And actually, there’s a new one. To find it, head to Brookhaven and look for the street with 150 beers (Full Sail, Duvel...), cover bands and DJs instead of cars. Oh, and it’s behind the MARTA station. It’s like they knew.
Some people just like to take things apart and put them back together again. Well, we found some of those people. Only when they put things back together, things tend to get... weird. Anyway, when you’re at the Sound Table drinking mezcal Manhattans this weekend, might want to see for yourself at this design exhibit. Might not, also.
