You’re not one to waste time.
Last week in traffic you rolled 300 calls, planned a cross-continental holiday barbecue and hashed out a screenplay called Fast 405. (Universal is already interested in the movie rights. And the theme-park-ride rights.)
So even when your lunch order is just going to take 10 minutes, that’s 10 minutes you could be playing Space Invaders.
Which brings us to Coly’s Stromboli, a retro Italian lunch spot stocked with meats, cheeses and games, opening today Downtown.
With posters of ’80s movies like Loverboy all over the walls, this isn’t the kind of place to wine and dine a client—unless your client is Patrick Dempsey. No, you’ll come here when you’re craving lots of pepperoni, lots of provolone and a break from the company cafeteria or your jury duty peers.
Step up to the counter and order the Original Stromboli—it’s pepperoni, ham, mozzarella, provolone and marinara, all wrapped up in a warm, flaky crust, sort of like a calzone—or the Chicken Parm.
And because each stromboli is made to order, you’ve got about 10 minutes to kill. So you’ll head to a red booth for some poker with a house deck of cards... or hit up the table with Space Invaders built in.
Just like your desk back at the office.
