But tonight, Paul Hagedorn will unleash his photographic memoirs of pre-demolition Buckhead, and the ghosts of nightlife past (Mako’s swing girls, Uranus’s bubble machine...) will be summoned one last time. Like it or not.
You should bid on some art this weekend. Preferably while drinking a bunch of beer, eating a bunch of food and watching a bunch of potentially questionable “acts of intrigue” from the likes of gloATL and Dad’s Garage and live music by the Muleskinner MacQueen Trio. You never miss an MMT show.
Chances are you’ve dropped in on the Dunwoody Beer Fest in summers past. Good call. So good, in fact, that you’ll probably want to consider doing it again this Saturday. Just look for the parking lot with a big tent, bands and about 150 beers and liquors. Not that you wouldn’t.
Fact: you get what you pay for. Opinion: you should pay whatever you want for what you get. Good news: your opinion has been heard. Starting Sunday at Café Jonah and the Magical Attic, you’ll literally name your price for brunch. Whatever “magic” is happening in that attic, it’s working.
Consider the strawberry. Red, delicious... red. Anyway, take a date to Rosebud’s strawberry-centric dinner for dishes like Buttermilk Fried Quail Breast with strawberry glaze and sockeye salmon with gingered strawberry relish. We expect a full report Thursday morning.
