The end of winter is officially two months away. Which means you could probably use a backup blazer. So we’d like to point you in the direction of a massive boutique sale, where you’ll be looking at 50% to 70% off winter gear from the likes of Rag & Bone, APC and Rogues Gallery. See, winter’s not so bad.
Tomorrow night, somewhere between happy hour and whipping your hair back and forth, you’ll want to make a pit stop at the Jackson Fine Art Gallery for the opening reception of cultish photographers Todd Selby and Elliott Erwitt’s new exhibit. You should always preempt your hair whipping with a little culture.
Movies. They’ve been filming quite a lot of those around here lately. And to embrace that fact, this weekend, hundreds of movie- and TV-themed exhibits and live performances (also, food trucks) will descend upon the Westside. Which is basically just smoke screen for the giant kickoff bash on Friday night. Consider your screen smoked.
This Saturday, you and your date will find yourselves in a steakhouse kitchen assisting with the preparation of tuna tartare and Alaskan black cod marinated in acacia honey for BLT Steak’s first-ever cooking class. Oh, and you’ll also be drinking a lot of wine. So maybe stay away from the knives.
The Falcons’ loss is still a touchy subject at this point. A subject to be handled gingerly, thoughtfully... and preferably with $3 beers and gratis shots. So you’ll want to hit Midtown this weekend for a five-bar farewell to the Falcons. Which is pretty much the only valid reason to ever go on a pub crawl.
