This was a big year for Dallas: Rangers won the ALCS, Jerry World hosted the NBA All-Star game, and some non-sports stuff happened, too. But now let’s remember some of the less impressive moments of 2010.

Ron Washington’s Snowstorm

Like any championship run, the 2010 Rangers season had high drama, particularly off the field—like when manager Ron Washington was caught for what he called his “one and only time” trying cocaine. Hey, maybe it was a performance-enhancing drug.

APRIL 13

Jerry Jones Caught on Tape

If you’re, say, the owner of an NFL football team, you might want to avoid badmouthing both your ex-coach (Bill Parcells) and the game’s top prospect (Tim Tebow)—on tape. Something tells us Big Tuna’s getting a nice Christmas card this year.

Chace Crawford Busted with Pot

In Manhattan, Chace Crawford and Chuck Bass get away with everything, from underage drinking to wearing ascots. But in North Dallas, when Chace tries to smoke a little pot outside of Ringo’s Pub, well, he ends up in a mug shot on TMZ.

Lone Star Gets Canceled

It seemed destined for greatness. It had action. Crime. Jon Voight. And like so many classics before it—Dallas, Friday Night Lights, Walker, Texas Ranger—it was filmed right here. And yet, Fox’s Lone Star was canceled after just two episodes. We refuse to blame Voight.

Mark Cuban Mentors The Situation

Five minutes with Mark Cuban can be hard to get. Well, unless you’re from Jersey, you have rock-hard abs, and your first name’s “The.” Cuban and The Situation met in NYC over dinner to discuss investments. It’s amazing what happens when you focus on GTL.
