Surfing in Miami: not really happening.
The surfing lifestyle, complete with comfortable tees, shorts, swim trunks and girls in bikinis: definitely happening...
So you’ll want to say hello to Surf the Webster, the new pop-up surf shop inside the Webster, now open through August.
Basically, this store-within-a-store feels like a cross between an art gallery and a surf shop straight out of Huntington Beach.
Everywhere you look on the ground floor of the deco boutique, you’ll find items to take your debonair beach-bum look to the next level: perfect-length swim trunks from NY boutique Saturdays, board shorts from revived ’60s brand Sundeck, canvas slip-ons from French shoemaker Pare Gabia, and racks and racks of cool sunglasses.
It’s the kind of summer gear you’ll throw on before heading to drinks at the Standard or barbecuing on your friend’s houseboat (yes, that friend could be named LeBron).
And if you’re looking for more than clothes, they’ve also got beachy items for your own surf shack/condo, like scented candles made from surf wax and framed prints by pro-surfer-turned-photographer Daniel Fuller.
We know: he’s our favorite pro-surfer-turned-photographer too.
