Luxury Yurts at Normandy Farms

The Big Yurt

Camping Near Boston. With Cable.

You've been known to pitch a big tent.

A literal big tent. But sometimes that's not enough. There are those times when you need an even bigger, more luxurious tented oasis, for you and several of your friends. More of a tent clubhouse. With ESPN.

For those occasions, there are the Luxury Yurts at Normandy Farms, a roughing-it option when you don't feel like roughing it, now taking reservations for the summer and fall.

First of all, let's review: a yurt is a shelter that nomads of central Asia used for centuries. The three yurts at Normandy Farms are like those time-tested shanties, only classed up with electricity, cable TV, running water, couches, a master bedroom (you'll want to claim this) and a kitchenette. And a wraparound deck. On a pond.

So let's say your favorite band is taking over Gillette Stadium (only three miles away), and you don't want to make the trek to and from Boston for their three-night set. Reserve a yurt (your friends can have the pull-out couches), and in between concerts you'll hang around the outdoor pool (or the indoor pool), hit up one of the three hot tubs and maybe even log a little time on the bocce ball court.

Nothing says a three-day Phish show like bocce ball.
