Bobby Flay's Double-Down at Mohegan

It seems like just yesterday we were telling you about Bobby Flay's burger emporium making its Mohegan Sun debut.

But sometimes when prepping for a Casino Royale-esque poker session, all you can really think about is settling into a nice juicy steak (preferably with a Bond girl at your side).

So we're pleased to present Bobby Flay's Bar Americain, firing up the grill for you starting tomorrow at Mohegan.

This is the massive (think 276 seats), fancy (think marble tiles and zinc bars), NYC-meets-Vegas brasserie you've been waiting for from your favorite Connecticut casino.

We recommend you order a round of Bronx Cocktails (hopefully the gin, OJ and vermouth will make you forget they hail from Yankee turf…) as you labor over the incredibly difficult decision between Bobby's spice-rubbed steaks (we like the Filet Mignon, served tender enough to practically slice with your fork) and entrées like Porterhouse Lamb Chops.

If you're looking for differences between this place and the original BA, you might want to check out apps like the Boston Lettuce (de-vegged with bacon and a poached egg) and Native American Taco (stuffed with BBQ duck and cranberry red chile).

You'll also appreciate the fact that you can stroll out of here and get down to some gambling, which has got to be the biggest difference between this restaurant and the one in NY.

Unless you know something we don't.
