Today, we've got for you a vibrant and colorful place of contemporary Indian indulgence from Chef Sujan Sarkar, of San Francisco's Rooh.
It's called Baar Baar, and it's open now in NoHo.
A few ideas: You can come by with friends for a big family-style dinner of potato-bone marrow kulcha, kashmiri lamb ribs and seafood thali—those deep yellow curved velvet booths practically call out for such a thing. You could also come with a date, claim a couple seats at the bright bar under that larger-than-life mural, and shoot the breeze over a couple of New Delhi Sours (like a whiskey sour, just with rose hip syrup and spices). And that front lounge will no doubt be a choice place to drop by for other Indian-inspired cocktails and shareable kulcha and oysters, should you not be game for a full meal.
But hey, you have no idea what we're describing here, now do you. Let's head into the slideshow together, where the photos will do most, and then all of the talking.
