Nostalgia has lead to some pretty great stuff recently.
Stranger Things. Real life versions of the Nikes from Back to the Future II. And now, a four-floor arcade with two bars in an old theater.
That last thing goes by the name Emporium, and it's a giant new playhouse for your inner child who's outwardly old enough to appreciate a game of nine-ball and a damn good beer. It's open now on Divis, and here's the slideshow.
After a long day, you and your group will enter this palace of games set in a 91-year-old theater. They've kept as many of the classic elements as possible. Like that grand gold ceiling. Not like that Dirty Harry pinball machine.
But in addition to those 20 old-school pinball machines and arcade games like Moon Patrol, you'll also have plenty of other things to keep you occupied, from the pool tables to the foosball tables to the two bars.
They're big into their beer program, and we trust you will be too once you see the likes of a Fieldwork Old Love Bohemian Lager or Firestone Walker Agrestic back there. And, right, cocktails on tap, too.
Oh, and if you get hungry, there's a BYOF policy with plenty of great restaurants nearby.
Try not to get any of your 4505 Burger on the pool table.
