Palm Springs.
It has its fair share of great pools.
The kind of great pools that don't exist on rooftops.
And that, friend, simply cannot stand.
So the Rowan Palm Springs just went ahead and opened with one of those in the middle of Downtown, rather than continue life in a desert without justice. Here's the part where you look at it.
This is the first new, full-scale hotel in Downtown Palm Springs to open in decades. A seven-story minimalist tower of lit-up boxes (or "rooms" as they're known around here) looking onto a panorama of canyon and mountain views.
So while you're hanging out here, make sure to check out:
The Arlo Suite. Where you and your people will stay when not feasting in the breeze or getting half-naked in the sun. It encompasses the whole top floor, has a pool table, deep soaking tub and two wraparound balconies with 360-degree views. It's considerably not horrible.
4 Saints. That's the rooftop restaurant where you'll find inspiring views, dry-aged duck, wild boar boudin noir and steak from a former Marc Forgione chef.
The Rooftop Terrace. Where you'll try sotol cocktails at a spot called High Bar. And remember a little while back when we mentioned there was a shiny new rooftop pool up there? We wouldn't lie to you.
Rooftop pools are so cute at that age.
