Guess what tonight is?
If you said, "Tonight is the night that the Wharf—an unnecessarily attractive waterfront pop-up lounge and restaurant—opens on the Miami River looking like this," then congratulations. You nailed it. That's weird, especially the slideshow link you threw in your sentence, but you nailed it.
You'll arrive with friends by boat or by car. Or definitely by boat because boats are more fun.
You'll dock up (a gratis courtesy) and hit the deck with its attractive, nautical-themed miscellany: blue, white and yellow tones, rustic wooden tables, colorful metal chairs, an Airstream. While not nautical per se, it's an Airstream, which has to count for something.
The bar and its various elixirs—like a three-rum cocktail blended with apricot brandy and lime—will call. Heed it, and you will be rewarded handsomely with DJ-spun music, ocean breezes and the knowledge that one of a rotating cast of food trucks is mere steps away from you.
Perhaps it'll be ribs from King of Racks. Perhaps a banana cream, berry-blended Deco Delight from Mojo Donuts. Or maybe you'll get to stick with the whole sea theme and have some stone crabs and oysters from Garcia's raw bar.
Nothing against ribs. Or donuts.
Definitely not donuts.
