It goes by the name of Regards to Edith, and it's Prairie School's deliciousness-minded neighbor that celebrates the diversity of Maxwell Street during its halcyon Sunday Market days. It's open now. Take a look.

Here, food stalls are traded in for mid-century modern furniture and oversized houseplants illuminated by copper lights. A rounded wooden bar overlooks the wine cellar. It's a good place to sip on Maxwell Street Sours while contemplating the feast that's about to commence.

Hodgepodge is the appropriate word to describe the spreads that will grace your table. Burrata-stuffed pizza puffs on brown paper to start, followed by matzo ball soup made with foie gras schmaltz and Burgundy truffles. Then the crème de la crème arrives: 32-ounces of ribeye covered in roasted bone marrow.

To say nothing of the churro soufflé that's made to order. But no, that can wait. Because there's a wine list that demands your immediate attention. Bound in what looks like a cover of Gourmet circa 1952, it's filled with 150 bottles of natural beauties and contemporary gems.
