It's a Good Month to Like Fried Chicken Sandwiches and Triple Chocolate Doughnuts

To celebrate the release of Federal Donuts: The (Partially) True Spectacular Story, The Nomad Bar will be offering a selection of dishes from the beloved Philadelphia doughnut shop for the month of October. The book tells the story of how two James Beard Award winners who knew nothing about doughnuts bought a used doughnut robot on Craigslist, and proceeded to build a veritable doughnut empire.

Fried chicken sandwiches (buttermilk ranch seasoning, American cheese, dill pickles, spicy sauce) and three flavors of their incredibly popular doughnuts (cranberry-glazed pie crumb, triple chocolate and burnt caramel) will be on offer, and if this is anything like their shop in Philly—or the last time they popped up in New York, for that matter—you can expect a wait.

Through Oct 31, The Nomad Bar, 10 W 28th St (at Broadway), 212-796-1500
