Long-time Late Show host David Letterman is the latest big name heading to Netflix, where he’ll
produce six hour-long episodes involving “in-depth conversations with
extraordinary people, and in-the-field segments.” The universe—aka, Twitter—seems overjoyed at the
prospect of having his mug back on screen. And for good reason: Letterman is a bona fide living
legend.
Judging by an interview with Entertainment Weekly, it seems likely that the show will err closer to his work as a correspondent on National Geographic’s Years of Living Dangerously than anything talk show or top-ten related. We’re already imagining something akin to Vice’s HBO show—but, you know, funny, because it’s David Letterman.
