Foie gras ice cream. Old Fashioneds. A hidden cheese dish.

Yep. It’s going to be that kind of year.

Let the celebration begin at Temporis, a rather attractive new 20-seat, tasting-menu-only restaurant from a pair of Les Nomades vets, open now in West Town. Here’s what it looks like.

You’ll want to make a reservation here posthaste for yourself and someone who shares an appreciation for eating very pretty, very delicious things. Once that’s done, you’ll head over and slink into a white leather chair.

That’s when totally inexplicable and divine things start happening.

After you decide whether to do the wine pairing or stick with classic cocktails, the 10-course dinner will begin. Depending on when you’re there, the lighting, ambience and menu may change, reflecting the passage of time (deep, we know).

For now, you can expect things like yuzu hamachi, tandoori-spiced rabbit served three ways (with microgreens picked from your table) and, for dessert, foie gras ice cream with a passion fruit reduction and black sesame twirl.

Another thing: at one point, the server will reveal a hidden orb under one of the serving dishes, filled with applewood smoke. Inside, you’ll notice a piece of aged cheddar with an apple cider gastrique.

You can even eat it.
