After a few hours of blackjack...

After a decadent meal on the Strip...

After dancing the night away on some LED-lit dance floor...

You’ll probably go to bed.

...

Kidding.

You’ll probably go here: the Dorsey.

It’s a real looker of a lounge with cocktails from the man behind seminal NYC drinking spot Attaboy, and it’s open now at the Venetian. (It’s slideshow o’clock.)

Now, in case you were wondering who that man is, here are two quick facts:

1) He’s Sam Ross.

2) He’s credited with creating the Penicillin, a popular scotch libation that should not be mistaken for medicine.

Cool. Let’s move on.

What you’ll find here, with a date or friends, is a rather elegant space decked out in French oak, blue sofas and a giant gilded cage for sitting in. There’s also a library. It’s not for reading.

The drink menu is broken into helpful categories like “Stirred & Boozy” and “Conversation Pieces.” You can’t go wrong, but drinking your favorite spirit topped with fresh-pressed Granny Smith apple juice, sharing Creole punch or ending the evening with a salted Jamaican-rum Negroni would all be excellent choices.

Regardless, we trust you’ve got this from here.
