Just in time for holiday party season, here’s an appointment-based venue for you to acquire a
perfect-fitting custom shirt or nine for yourself.
It’s a most polished version of Proper Cloth, now in the form of a massive new showroom that facilitates a hell of a lot nicer shopping experience than most. She’s bright and open now in SoHo.
You may be familiar with these guys (we’ve publicly liked them before). They’ve been offering made-to-measure shirts, blazers, suit jackets and the like online since 2008. Still doing that. Even had a different SoHo showroom before. But should you want in-person consultations, the new spot is about as good as it gets.
The experience in a nutshell: hop online and set up an engagement. When the time comes, mosey into this large SoHo loft (take a look around). Luxuriate on large SoHo sofas. Finally, have a leisurely chat with someone who specializes in making shirts fit just so; talk fabrics, discuss styling options, have your measurements taken. You want to be that guy who rocks the untucked, vintage-club-collared, polka-dotted button-up that fits just a little loose in the shoulders? Consider it done.
That very shirt will be sent to your door within two weeks, and your many measurement stats will be filed away for your future online-purchasing convenience.
And one more note about that holiday party season thing—they do group fittings, too, complete with scotch and such if you like.
Need we wink at you now?
