We’ve got good things for you today.
Today, you meet Ludlow House: four glorious stories for drinking, lounging and eating Peking duck. It’s the latest from the good people behind Soho House, now open to Ludlow House members and opening tomorrow to Soho House Every House members.
This is what an old gold-leaf factory looks like after being outfitted with open fireplaces, a rooftop garden and an immense amount of velvet. Here’s your slideshow.
This is what to expect:
The first floor is for lounging. Maybe working. Maybe having a burger.
There’s a living-room-like space with an all-day deli counter, and a parlor with couches and an open fireplace. A prime spot to get some work done. Or to not.
Upstairs: more American-Mediterranean food in a brighter, more open space.
Expect a summer-appropriate menu of grilled trout, asparagus-and-parmesan-topped pizza, hamachi crudo... (menu’s right here).
Up more stairs, you’ll find a DJ, a screening room and plenty of dancing room.
Yes, they’ve got an in-house film curator on hand. Yes, they’ve got over 20 plush velvet chairs in the Velvet Room. Yes, you may have a Rubbing Is Racing (tequila, ginger, banana, lime).
And on the roof: a veggie-focused Asian spot (where the Peking duck happens) and a rooftop garden.
You weren’t getting out of here without a rooftop garden.
