Sauvage, a languorous, summery dining/drinking spot with a French café vibe. It’s from the good people
behind Maison Premiere and open now in Greenpoint.
We’re going to highly recommend you take a look at the photos, but first, some temptation:
—These guys just won the Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program. That acumen is reflected here, but with some lower-ABV cocktails and the addition of a serious small-producer wine collection. In case you like your wine producers small.
—There’s a half lobster here you’ll be wanting. Also a different take on the raw bar, with just a single oyster type each day, but offered in different sizes and ages. Carrot carpaccio also stops in. (Menu here.)
—Items for two include: a pig head confit and a stuffed arctic char with an absinthe mignonette and beef-fat potatoes.
—Sidewalk seating’s on the way.
—Do we even need to tell you that you should bring a date?
Thought not.
