Here’s where we tell you that the Treasury, your FiDi go-to for good drinks and good bar food, is now serving lunch. It involves things like pork banh mi and a few of their better drinks like the Smoke & Mirrors with gin and smoked tea. Though we probably had you at gin.
A beer store opening a beer bar. Huh. That might work. Well, guess what: Ales Unlimited just opened a beer bar. It’s called Beer Basement. It’s in a basement and it’s filled with beer. Plus, comedy nights are in the works. No one ever sees the comedy nights coming.
There are summer kickoff parties, and then there are summer kickoff parties that happen by the Phoenix’s well-appointed pool with food and drinks and DJ Jazzy Jeff. The latter probably being the better type of kickoff party.
Forbidden Island is easily one of the best tiki bars in the Bay, and definitely the best reason to go to Alameda. Especially when they’re throwing a Sunday pig roast with live music, drink specials and a whole roasted pig. Congratulations on being a person who’s about to go to that.
