When we tell you that the pools are opening at Francis Ford Coppola Winery this Friday, and that there are still a scant few reservations available, we expect you to drop everything and start yelling things like “Nice” and “No way” and “I’m feeling sick.” That last one can probably wait until Monday, though.
You remember Cala, that lovely restaurant from that big-deal Mexico City chef. And that great little taqueria she opened in the back of the restaurant during the week. Well, that little taqueria is a tapas joint now, with things like oysters, trout tostadas and sangria. So now it’s better.
Picnics are usually a good idea. Especially when they involve ceviche from Nopalito, poutine from the Whole Beast and a Taiwanese dessert called snow that’s like shaved ice plus ice cream at Off the Grid’s Presidio Picnic on Sundays. Especially then.
