Every Wednesday during October, Brasserie S&P will host a happy hour. They’ll serve fancy drinks, then pair them strategically with a scoop of either Harvey Milk & Honey Graham or Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee ice cream. And that’s the story of how happy hours suddenly involved ice cream.

The Basecamp Hotel in Lake Tahoe has added some new rooms just in time for ski season. They’ve also added a beer garden just in time for Saturday’s Oktoberfest party with California beers, brats and live music. In summary: the Basecamp Hotel seems to be extremely cognizant of time.
