Chez Maman is gone. Whew. Feels good to get that off our chests. Especially now that there’s this new American comfort food joint in its place, serving you things like roasted bone marrow, fried chicken and fondue from their open kitchen. Surely fondue passes for comfort food somewhere.

The Armory was first built as an arsenal for the US National Guard. More recently, it served as a studio for an adult website. And on Saturday, it’ll have food trucks, live bands and, yes, over 200 sakes for you to taste. Hard to say what it’ll be next weekend.
You aren’t allowed to act like a kid as much as you’d like anymore. But that’s okay, because Scotland Yard has this new brunch where you can get comestibles like Cap’n Crunch–encrusted fried chicken and waffle bites, cola-braised ribs and adult root beer floats. So... sugar.
