Cough, cough. 3) An outdoor movie with live music and the city’s best food trucks. You’d do it.
You like gin and tonics. Polo Lounge is a picturesque setting for gin and tonics. And now they’ve got a menu of four different ones, where you get to pick your own tonic and gin from a long list. Therefore, you like Polo Lounge. AP algebra.
Add tacos to anything and it starts sounding really fun. Like this comedy festival going on at Malo this week. It’s got mud wrestling, lawn darts, stripper comedians and a wet poncho contest, among other things. The thing just needed tacos.
Downtown’s Boomtown Brewery is having its first in-house event on Friday. They’ll serve you stuff like Nose Job IPA, a Belgian-style IPA called Personal Assistant and burgers from Far Bar. It just wants everything to be perfect.
You didn’t mean to break Instagram. You just figured the Frito pie pizza at Downtown’s new Public School 213 wouldn’t be believed if it weren’t seen. Understandable.
Sunday morning. You push aside the Bloody Mary. You notice the Church Key sells brown-butter-glazed, cinnamon-caramel brioche mini donuts by the dozen now. Then you gingerly pull your Bloody Mary back. And order some donuts for the table. Scene.
