Meanwhile, Denizens Brewing is celebrating its first all day, with DJs and live music, special tappings and $5 prices on almost every beer.

This involves a road trip. But it also involves beer. In a church. For the second year, this circa-1735 church in Virginia’s Northern Neck is fundraising with a dozen beers, a pair of bluegrass bands, and all the barbecue and ice cream you care to have. Tom Jefferson would be proud.
You’ve probably been to BTS near GW. So for their Tenley location, you’ll expect the Six Buck Chuck burgers, spiked milkshakes and 11 taps. You might not expect the outdoor patio, the giant mural of an eagle staring down at you and the off-menu root beer float. Nobody expects the off-menu root beer float.
