11 Hours of the Dutch

The Dutch isn’t messing around this year. For them, “the Fourth” roughly translates to “11 hours of shrimp hush puppies, smoked brisket, hot fried chicken, peach pie and watermelon punch.” It’s an excellent translation of the source material.

Lobster Bake. It’s a Lobster Bake.
THE LOBSTER

Lobster Bake. It’s a Lobster Bake.

We heard that crawfish were putting together some kind of young crawfish-based indie band for Narcissa’s two-day outdoor lobster bake this weekend. The closer’s going to be The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance.

THE SMORGASBURG

Smorgasburg-ing by the Seaside

After-Partying with PH-D Stilt Walkers
THE ROOFTOP

After-Partying with PH-D Stilt Walkers

Fourth of July classics: hot dogs, scenic rooftops, sangria, classically trained aerialists, stilt walkers... At least that’s what the classics are at a PH-D after-party.

Jul 4, 6pm, PH-D, 355 W 16th St (between 8th and 9th), 212-229-2511

Drinks and Pizza and Much Salty Air
THE DECK

Drinks and Pizza and Much Salty Air

When you’re a pizza-forward, cocktail-forward, expansive-deck-forward haven right on the seaport, it’s hard to argue that you’re not pretty great for this weekend. Really hard. Thankfully, you’re... not that.
