This is what it sounds like when doves weekend.
Your Perks: 1) A curated selection of the 20th century’s most iconic timepieces. And by that we mean Rolex, Cartier and the like. 2) A personally engraved bottle of Kentucky bourbon. “Happy Father’s Day” —You. 3) Enough Hugo Boss polos to kill a man. Kidding. Polos are generally nonviolent.
For the after-work situation: Get to Churchill for rotating $6 drinks like the
strawberry-shrub-based Victory Gardens. Easy.
For the weekend-day-drinking situation: They’re doing Bloody Mary specials, micheladas
and other things that involve the words “beer,” “shot” and “combo”...
Things start to get weird late night at Urchin, that French spot in the Mission. The tables give way to a dance floor. Fireball-and-pilsner specials run rampant. Post-midnight burgers become a thing. A DJ materializes out of thin air. We took some hyperbolic liberties with that last one.
Things you probably didn’t know will happen this weekend:

—A Prince sing-along at the Roxie with costumes, prizes and birthday cake.

A fine Sunday dinner option: Bix’s new $35 three-course prix fixe. There will be sand dabs. There will be Wagyu-beef paillard. There will be you, with a forkful of Wagyu in one hand and a martini in the other and a piano playing softly in the background. Maybe not, that’s just how we picture it.
Option 1: Go the fixie route and arrive at your destination looking like you went the fixie
route.
Option 2: Acquire this new motorized e-bike called the Porteur S. It’s got a 240-watt
battery, cork grips, alloy fenders and other things motorized e-bikes have.
