Once upon a time, two guys worked at Levi’s. Then they left. Lately they’re into getting you meticulously crafted, super-durable jeans made out of USA-woven duck canvas. Some pairs are hand-sewn, and take over 24 hours. Some are not, and therefore don’t cost as much. There, that was a nice story.
Anchor Brewing’s tapping firkins of limited-edition, cask-conditioned beers this Friday afternoon (and every upcoming Friday when the Giants are out of town). This week it’s a firkin of Citrus Pils. And a firkin’s a quarter of a barrel, by the way. Not that we’re doubting your firkin expertise.
Good news: Andreas Bernard (Momofuku Ssäm, Fatty Cue) has commandeered the stove at Mooseknuckle. Get there this Friday for five courses of cheesy poutine, gravy-doused duck breast and smoked brisket. Also: Bloody Caesars, a classic Canadian drink. Apparently.
Extra day this weekend... thereby rendering Sunday the new Saturday. Or something. Uh, anyway: DJ Jazzy Jeff is in town spinning hip-hop and R&B until 3am, and you should probably be there to witness it. Or to consume drinks and dance. Just witnessing it will work, though.
As if you needed another reason to patronize Addendum, they’re doing the lobster roll thing again—Bouchon bun, juicy court-bouillon-cooked Maine lobster. It’s there all weekend, but Monday feels right. Always does. Just usually you can’t do this on a Monday, so...
