An aptly named place called Juice Bar just opened in Druid Hills, which means two things: 1) your intake of ginger, kale and various antioxidants is about to go up, and 2) you’ll have to say “antioxidants” a little bit more than you’re used to. You’re a smoothie person now.
Some visit Grant Park to spend time with pandas at the zoo. Others for a history lesson at the Cyclorama. You? You go there for two days of eating barbecue, drinking cold beer and listening to live blues on the grass. It’s a new festival thing, if that wasn’t clear.

This Sunday, instead of brunch, wait a few hours and head to Restaurant Eugene for Mother’s Day dinner. There’ll be a one-night-only, five-course menu with a wine pairing option. And another option for tableside caviar service. And that should do until next year.
Later this month, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol are joining forces for a seated dinner. Expect passed small things, cocktails and anything from whole hog trimmings to peach natilla with cinnamon crispas. And for it to sell out. Blame it on the crispas.
