Sneaking that last string of words in there is Prime & Provisions, a marble-and-iron-trimmed showcase of meat, cigars, martinis and individual-size banana cream pies, opening tomorrow on LaSalle.
It’s the next logical step for the Bull & Bear/Public House/Siena Tavern guys. You’ve never really made it in this town until proving your abilities with a dry-aged 20-ounce ribeye.
Inside is all very... hmm. Well, you’ll be greeted by a wall of peacock feathers. And presumably a hostess. So far, so good. (Also, this slideshow should help.)
It’ll definitely be your new stomping grounds for post-work dirty martinis garnished with Wisconsin-blue-and-cheddar-stuffed olives. Grab a cigar, wander out to the patio, puff away and look up at the sky contemplatively.
But you know that feeling you get while entertaining clients at a plush table with porterhouse steaks accompanied by obscenely large baked potatoes and then capping it all off with your own little pie? They’ve got that feeling here.
And if you want to know the feeling of digging a spoon into a giant, s’mores-y chocolate egg that’s filled with campfire smoke and prepared tableside, they have that, too.
