Here’s the theory about grilled cheese. It really wouldn’t taste displeasing if someone placed cheddar, black truffle mayo and Three Jerks’ filet mignon adobo jerky in it. Wally’s is the one testing this theory out. Go by and see if they need a research assistant.
Opera isn’t stuffy. Opera has its performers sing the dialogue to a crazy old Italian B-movie about Hercules battling vampires in Hell, with a 26-piece orchestra backing them. At least... opera in LA does that. Sometimes. Occasionally. Pretty much just this weekend, actually.
A tequila party in a chocolate shop: that’s sound thinking at play. And it’s happening Friday at ChocoVivo, where four agave-based drinks involving chocolate salt get poured... and coexist with a bunch of chocolate. No wonder that place has its own TED Talk.
This French artist has been busy covering every inch of the battered old Sunset Pacific Motel in a bright-white dissolvable powder. And he’s inviting the public to come check it out on Sunday for some kind of enigmatic art to-do called Projection. Sounds weird. Fun weird.
