Turners Permit

What’s Happening at the Ted This Year

Forget everything you know about baseball. Actually, retain the part about how it’s played. And basically everything else. Just forget what you know about the whole eating and drinking thing. That stuff’s different now. Happy Opening Day... here’s what’s new at Turner Field.

Braves Hall of Fame Exhibit
SECTION 134

Braves Hall of Fame Exhibit

You require: Some light pregame time-killing and general franchise knowledge.
You’ll receive: A new exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Braves being in Atlanta, including Hank Aaron’s 715th home run bat and ball. Which we assume are made of magic and sorcery.

Red Hare National Common
SECTIONS 104, 150 AND 151

Red Hare National Common

You require: Something cold and refreshing that’s somewhere between ale and lager.
You’ll receive: A new collaboration from Red Hare and chef Linton Hopkins made specifically for this season and specifically for pairing with the H&F Burger. You were going to do that anyway, but it’s a nice touch.

The Wing Diner
SECTION 102

The Wing Diner

You require: A tiny drumstick to assist with chopping. And eating.
You’ll receive: A shiny new napkin-necessitating outpost of tossed-to-order wings in sauces like lemon pepper and mango habanero. No bibs, though. You’ll need your own bib.

The Wing Diner, Section 102

New Amsterdam Bar
SECTION 222

New Amsterdam Bar

You require: Something to get you loosened up for some seventh-inning stretching.
You’ll receive: A new cocktail-only bar with things that you’ve probably never quaffed upon at a ballpark like the Starboard Buck with mango vodka, blended scotch and ginger beer. There’s still beer, so you’re good.

New Amsterdam Bar, Section 222

King of Pops
SECTIONS 105, 233 AND 402

King of Pops

You require: On-demand popsicles without leaving your seat.
You’ll receive: King of Pops in their first-ever appearance at Turner Field. There’ll be three set locations and three pop-pushers roaming the stands. Kind of like they’re selling peanuts, only a billion times better.
