Party On

The Hot List: 2014 Holiday Parties

You’ve got your eggnog recipe perfected, your mistletoe locations scouted and a few reindeer on standby. Great. Now all you need: someplace to actually host this thing. That’s where these five venues come in. Pick at least one.

The Kitchen at 6130
THE EASY ONE

The Kitchen at 6130

You require: Something stress-free, where they do all the work and you do none of it.
You’ll receive: Kent Rathbun’s handsome new event space in the old Blue Plate Kitchen spot. It’s great for dinners and parties and those ever-so-popular dinner parties we keep hearing about.

Midnight Rambler
THE DRINKING DEN

Midnight Rambler

You require: A sexy underground bar that takes its cocktails seriously.
You’ll receive: The back room at Midnight Rambler, with its glowing bulbs, marble tables and impressive selection of alcoholic things they’ll mix with other things and then serve you. They’ve got it all figured out.

Dee Lincoln’s Bubble Bar
THE CHAMPAGNE ROOM

Dee Lincoln’s Bubble Bar

You require: A lounge-y spot where your personalized champagne saber won’t go unnoticed.
You’ll receive: A bi-level event space with two bars, white chairs and pops of magenta. Rent the whole thing or just one floor. Do a custom food menu or just drinks. Hey, your party.

City View Terrace
THE LOOKOUT POINT

City View Terrace

You require: Something above sea level with a bar and views of Downtown.
You’ll receive: A real looker of an indoor/outdoor situation atop the Renaissance. The primary draw is that 4,000-square-foot terrace with its retractable roof and green turf. Remember: always replace your divot.

Private Mansion
THE SPACIOUS ABODE

Private Mansion

You require: Just a mansion. Nothing more, nothing less.
You’ll receive: Okay, a little more. We’re talking seven fireplaces, a two-story library, a dark wooden bar and a big stone patio. Plus a bunch of bedrooms, just in case those would come in handy for some reason.
