We’ve got two pieces of news that we think you’re just going to be over the moon about:
The first: Breaking. It’s Friday.
The second: There’s another Raines Law Room now.
It’s also called The Raines Law Room, and it’s just like that Flatiron place where you sink deep into wing chairs and drink excellent cocktails, only it’s opening Monday at the William.
You’re in Murray Hill for this particular spirit excursion, and it might be even plusher and gloriously old-man-ish (and smaller) than the first one.
It’d also be more accurate to call this one Raines Law Rooms. There are two cozy, fireplaced spots, separated by a lobby hallway (you should see both of them, maybe in some kind of slideshow form that you click on here).
What you can expect: a lot of velvet and dark wood, and the kind of scotch and cognac cabinet normally reserved for heads of state. New to the party: a choose your own adventure Old Fashioned menu, where you mix and match the bitters, sweetener and spirit.
If at first you don’t succeed...
